Pleasant Valley Rd hit & run

North Okanagan RCMP are asking for your help after a cyclist hit and run took place on on Pleasant Valley Rd this past weekend.

RCMP say that on April 20 at about 9 p.m. a 26-year-old man reported getting hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in the 6300 block of Pleasant Valley Road.

RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says the man suffered a broken leg and road rash to his arm.

“The suspect vehicle did stop momentarily. It is described as an older white Chevy Suburban with square headlights. The victim was not able to get a plate number. The victim told the police that he is convinced the driver knew he had hit something because he did stop,” explained Molendyk.

Police are asking anyone with any information on this crash to please call the Vernon RCMP Detachment or Crime Stoppers.
