Lumby RCMP looking for volunteers

Lumby RCMP is looking for community minded volunteers to assist with its new Citizens on Patrol program.

An information session will be held on Wednesday January 22 at 7 p.m. at the Lumby Community Centre located at 2250 Shields Ave.

Volunteers are required to complete an interview process and be able to obtain an enhanced security clearance. Applicants must be a minimum of 19 years of age and they should live in the general area.

The position is perfect for those who have aspirations of pursuing a career in law enforcement or social services.

If you would like more information or would like to register for the information session contact Warren Smith at 250 550-7843.
