Drunk man steals donation jar

Salmon Arm RCMP have a man in custody after he was found to be in possession of stolen property from a local fast food restaurant.
According to police the man was seen stealing an MS donation jar which had been left on the counter of the restaurant.
The suspect, grossly intoxicated, was found a short distance away.
He met the description provided by staff and was in possession of the lid from the donation jar.
In addition to the theft the 48-year-old man was also found to be breaching conditions not to consume alcohol.
At approximately 3 p.m. last Friday, Salmon Arm police arrested three people found to be in possession of a stolen truck at the McDonalds restaurant.
Police were alerted to the truck by Vernon RCMP who believed a motorcycle stolen from their area was being transported in the truck. Police were able to recover two stolen motorcycles, the stolen truck, drugs and other stolen property.
The suspects, well known to police in Calgary, were held for court.
At approximately 5 p.m. Saturday police were called to a local restaurant after a man attempted to use a stolen credit card.
Police arrested a 64-year-old man on site for possession of the stolen credit card. Other pieces of identification belonging to other people were also discovered.
The suspect, with no fixed address, was wanted on other offences at the time of his arrest.
This past Sunday, Salmon Arm police were alerted to a man going door to door trying to sell driveway and paving supplies.
The man, know to police, was found with another individual in an uninsured vehicle which was towed away.
Police remind the public to ensure they use caution when dealing with companies or individuals they are unfamiliar with who approach them offering services.
