Two schools in Lumby are closed today (Friday) as a result of Thursday's gas leak.
School District 22 announced the decision Friday morning.
Due to the leak JW Inglis Elementary School and Charles Bloom Secondary are closed today.
Lavington school however remains open.
Teachers and CUPE staff from the two Lumby schools are asked to report to the closest school to their home for work.
The schools were closed because FortisBC had not yet completed the repairs to the gas line to Lumby.
