The death of a 19-year-old Vernon teen in Saskatchewan is now being investigated by RCMP.

Dylan Cordell Hanna was discovered unresponsive outside his home in a oil-field workers camp in Kindersley, Saskatchewan Sunday morning around 6 a.m.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

“Kindersley RCMP have since entered into this sudden death investigation and are treating it as suspicious,” states Sgt. Geoff Buxcey.

He says that Kindersley RCMP, Major Crimes, Saskatoon Forensic Identification Services and the provincial coroner's office are now all involved in the investigation.

Buxcey says that many employees from various oilfield companies live in the camp while working in the Kindersley area, located in an industrial area on the west side of the community.

Hanna was from the Vernon area and attended Kalamalka Secondary School, but had moved to Saskatchewan for work.

Today, his Facebook page is flooded with sadness and grief from friends and family learning of his death. The comments are filled with love and adoration for the man, friend, and person Hanna was.

An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
