Man missing after boat crash

Sicamous RCMP are searching for a male after a serious boat crash.

Sicamous RCMP, with the assistance the BC RCMP Underwater Recovery Team (URT), Air Services and Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue are currently searching for a male missing from a serious boat crash in Cinnemousun Narrows.

Early Sunday morning RCMP were called and responded to incident at Shuswap Lake at Hungry Cove. Preliminary information determined a lone boat had crashed late the night before, August 16 at approximately 9:30p.m.

One male was able to seek assistance from passing house boaters in the morning. He was transported to hospital with various serious injuries.

The boater's two dogs were also safely recovered, however a 51-year-old male from Alberta remains missing at this time.

The crashed boat, described as a 45 foot vessel, has been seized and secured and the investigation into the cause of incident along with the search for the missing male continues.
