Nakusp woman dies in crash

A 52-year-old Nakusp woman has lost her life in a tragic one vehicle rollover Sunday morning.

North Okanagan RCMP says speed is likely the culprit that sent her car into a roll at 9 a.m., 41-kilometres east of Lumby, near Angel Falls.

The driver died at the scene. Her passenger, a 15-year-old girl from Nakusp, was transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Our office is continuing to investigate this file and are working with the BC Coroners Service,” says RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk. “Speed appears to be a contributing factor in this crash.”
