Minor injuries in rollover
A visitor from Italy kept emergency crews busy Sunday night after her rental car struck a another vehicle.
RCMP Spokesman Gord Molendyk says officers were called to the accident at 27th Street and 53rd Avenue around 10:00 p.m.
“A Kia rental car, driven by a 47-year-old woman from Italy, didn’t notice a Chevy Tracker driven by 75-year-old man from Vernon,” explains Molendyk
The Tracker was struck on the drivers side and according to Vernon Fire's Jack Blair completely rolled over before ending back on its wheels.
Blair says the jaws of life were used to remove the occupants of the Tracker who all had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver and two passengers of the Kia, all from Italy, were not injured.
A violation ticket was issued to the driver of the Kia for a fail to yield.
