Messages for longboard victim
Christopher Mitchell had just graduated high school.
The Vernon teen who died tragically Sunday while longboarding in the area of 39th Street and Okanagan Avenue shortly after 11 p.m., graduated from Clarence Fulton Secondary last month.
Mitchell apparently failed to stop for a stop sign when he was hit by a car.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Mitchell, 17, is being described as a young man who had a passion for longboarding, quadding and travelling.
He was looking forward to a second trip to Nicaragua through the Global Education program.
Messages have also been coming into his Facebook page.
