A Vernon man facing charges related to child pornography is expected to plead guilty to all 25 charges.
In November 2013, 39-year-old David Willerth of Vernon pleaded guilty to two of the then 19 charges he was facing. On Monday his lawyer said he intends to plead guilty to the remaining 17, plus the additional six charges added by Crown since.
Willerth was arrested in July 2013 after his name surfaced in an investigation conducted by the Vernon RCMP, in conjunction with the provinces Integrated Child Exploitation unit.
Some of the charges include possession of child pornography, making or publishing child pornography and obtaining sexual services from a person under 18; he has been in custody since his arrest.
Willerth’s next court appearance will be October 6, for sentencing.
