Tire pile fire
It was another call-out to a suspicious fire for the Vernon fire department early Wednesday morning. This time it was a pile of tires that was apparently set on fire.
The suspicious fire was reported at 12:48 a.m., the pile was fully engulfed by the time crews arrived. The firefighters were able to protect the nearby buildings from the flames.
So far about 20 suspicious fires have been set in the north Okanagan.
