Longboarding for cash in Vernon
Vernon's 10th annual downhill longboard race brought competitors from around the world to the Okanagan this weekend.
More than 100 competitors came from as far as New Zealand and Australia to race through the hilly streets of Vernon on Saturday and Sunday.
The one kilometre course winds through a residential area on Middleton Mountain and brought an estimated 1,000 homeowners and sport enthusiasts to watch.
Racers are competing for a $10,000 cash prize.
