Drunk and driving at noon

Police in Salmon Arm responded to a crash in the parking lot of Wendy’s on Friday afternoon and found a 59-year-old woman drunk behind the wheel. No one was injured and there was no damage caused by the crash, but the female driver from Eagle Bay was relieved of her driving privileges and her vehicle impounded.

Later that same day police stopped a speeding car on Foothills Road around 2:30 p.m.

The 42-year-old driver from Salmon Arm was found to be prohibited from operating a motor vehicle. He was ticketed for going 40 km/h over the posted limit and his car was impounded.

A small marijuana grow-op was busted Friday when police went to a home on 30th Street NE to arrest a man for making threats earlier in the day.

Cops seized 30 plants and charges will be levied against a 31–year-old man.

And early Saturday morning, cops stopped a 17-year-old boy driving near 1st Avenue SW. He was found to be drunk and his vehicle was impounded.
