Speed check nets pot bust
On March 28 police noticed a grey Malibu speeding near the scales on Hwy. 97.
Two 35-year-old men, one from Grinrod and the other from Spallumcheen, were in the vehicle.
The officers who pulled them over immediately noticed an odor of marijuana, on a closer check the officer found the men in possession of 241 grams of weed.
Both men have been released on a Promise to Appear for possession of marijuana.
The driver was also issued a ticket for speeding, the reason they were noticed by RCMP in the first place.
