Suspicious car fire
A car was engulfed in flames early Monday morning in Coldstream.
RCMP Spokesman Gord Molendyk says at 5 a.m. their officers responded to a report of a fire, near Palfrey Drive and Cunliffe Road.
“Initially when they arrived the vehicle had burned to the point that the officer couldn’t determine what kind of vehicle it was initially,” said Molendyk.
The fire department were advised that it was a Subaru that had caught fire.
The forensic identification unit is assisting in the investigation.
“They are treating it as suspicious now unless they find out otherwise,” said Molendyk. “We have put the vehicle into our identification bay so they can go over it and determine the cause of the fire.”
