Police search for B & E suspect
Police in Salmon Arm are looking for a man who is believed to have tried breaking into a home on 22nd street late last week.
A resident called police on Friday at 5:30 p.m. after hearing someone trying to break into the rear door of their home. The suspect ran away, and is described as an unshaven white male, wearing a large coat, black toque and dark gloves.
Police had earlier made contact with someone who matched that description, and did not find him at his residence following the call. This person is currently on house arrest due to past criminality.
Charges of breaching conditions of house arrest are being forwarded by police, while his association to the earlier crime is being investigated.
