Never return to the scene of the crime
RCMP were able to track down a car and identity thief last Friday by simply waiting for him to come back.
RCMP Spokesman Gord Molendyk says that on Friday Jan. 10 officers from the Vernon office were able locate a stolen F150 pick-up truck.
Once they had the truck in their sights they sat and waited to see if a suspect would return to the stolen property.
And he did, the 23-year-old man returned to the stolen truck and after driving it to a nearby gas station was arrested without incident by RCMP.
Molendyk says the investigation revealed he was also in possession of stolen credit cards and ID.
The police are following up on this file and further charges could be laid.
