400 marijuana plant seized in bust
A police executed search warrant on a home in Lumby has resulted in the seizure of 409 marijuana plants.
RCMP went in on Jan 7 to a building in the 100 block of Rawlings Lake Road.
Lumby RCMP say they received information that the residents there had a license to grow marijuana but that they had far exceeded their permit limits.
As it turns out a portion of the crop had already been harvested before police arrived on scene, however, police were able to seize the remaining 409 plants.
In addition, a stolen ATV was also located in the same out building.
A 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman are facing charges.
BC Hydro attended and all the power to the property was disconnected for safety reasons while the grow operation was dismantled.
