Thieves take flat-screen TV and beer
Hockey game nights are saved at one Lumby household after RCMP caught the thief that made off with the victim's flat screen TV and beer.
On Jan 3 at 2:30 a.m. police responded to a residential break and enter in the 2000 block of Park Ave.
RCMP say two men forced their way into a house, stealing the victim’s TV and beer.
Police were on patrol at the time and were able to locate one of the suspects a few blocks away.
The stolen TV was located and the beer was still in his possession.
The 21-year-old Vernon resident was already on a curfew and strict release conditions and was therefore taken into custody and charged with three counts of breaching his conditions, the Break & Enter and drug possession.
The second man has not been located.
Lumby RCMP are asking anyone with knowledge about this Break and Enter and who was involved to call them at 250-547-2151 or remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
