Lumby RCMP officers dealt with their last impaired driver of the year at 10:30 PM on New Year’s Eve Dec 31, 2013.
The 47-year-old man was pulled over after driving through downtown Lumby.
The man, a resident of Lumby, ‘failed’ on a roadside screening device.
He will not face criminal charges as he was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition ( IRP) for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
He now faces a high number of fines through ICBC, which he will need to pay in order to regain his driving privileges at some point in the future.
