Seniors see red during lunch

A sea of red helped deliver lunch to seniors on Wednesday December 18 in Vernon.

No, it was not Santa, but six officers from the Vernon RCMP detachment. They were at the Schubert Centre to deliver lunch to a surprised group of seniors.

All of the

officers were dressed in red serge and they brought a little helper.

The young man who stole the show was 4-year-old Mitchell who attended with his mom, Cst. Kerri Parish.

RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says, "I am not sure who enjoyed the time more that day, the seniors or the six officers and their four-year-old helper. This was a wonderful Christmas event for all."
