From the opening  track, the self titled debut of Snakecharmer drips with a sultry blues tinged rock that is absolutely awesome!  This sextet of seasoned and wisened minstrels are the real deal.  Formed in 2011, by Whitesnake veterans: Micky Moody and Neil Murray, the lads recruited the leading Male Rock Vocalist from Great Britain, Chris Ousey and the extraordinaire percussionist; Harry James from Thunder, and the son of Rick Wakeman—Adam Wakeman.

Yes, Adam is their keyboardist, along with Laurie Wisefield who plays guitar alongside Micky Moody. The group is not so far from the original Whitesnake of the mid seventies, whereas they hold so much potential that they can be regarded as the next Supergroup to come out of Her Majesty’s domain.

The debut?  It is a charmer alright!  Over sixty minutes of an assemblage of Rock-Blues numbers that ooze Soul, fuelled by the twin guitar attack of Laurie and Micky, delivered by the pulsating rhythms of Harry and Neil.  Yes, these guys are veterans, but they sound like they are in their twenties!

Snakecharmer have already road tested the numbers that appear on their debut.  The group has toured throughout 2012, and are ready to take on the world in 2013.  The album will enjoy worldwide release next month, January and is set to elevate the group to international awareness.  We can look forward to songs like “My Angel”, “Turn Of the Screw”, and “Nothing To Lose” to become the next “FM Staples”, and instantly recognisable with those whiskey soaked vocal styling’s from Chris Ousey!  “Snakecharmer” the album will become an instant classic.  And being from the “old school”, these minstrels will tour hard during the opening months of 2013, with tours booked for England, Europe, and North America.  Hopefully they will touch down here, and we can be immersed with their amazing musicianship. 

Wait with baited breath, and mark the name; “Snakecharmer”—just maybe the start of some real Rock n’ Blues served up the old fashioned way…hard, rhythmic and with heartfelt Soul!!
