Things Heating Up!?

Indie Night In Canada

I know it’s January, but things are heating up in the Valley!  Thanks to some visionary individuals, the local music scene is getting a boost as far as venues to perform in, and potential National exposure!  Here’s an example:  Rileys has undergone a recent renovation and new ownership.  The new owner, Kerry Webster has added a major stage and professional sound system to the venue, and is preparing for a dynamic schedule of Live performances including our rich Local Talent and National Acts as well!  We can expect concerts, feature and themed events at Riley’s plus, for those so inclined a weekly Jam Session with the Slam Dogs-populated by members of Prism and Headpins!

On January 25th, the first of many Special Events will take place at the re-energised West Kelowna venue:  Riley’s presents: Indie Night In Canada: featuring Kelowna’s own: the Flu, and Fields Of Green

… plus Eric & Alexander!!  Of course, the Flu are celebrating the independent release of their self-titled debut, and Fields Of Green will be performing new material from their second up-coming release.  Eric & Alexander??—these two talented men are from the Castanet Garage Band winners, Scissorkick…a fantastic up & coming group of Rockers!  So, mark this one on your calendars—Saturday January 25th in West Kelowna, at Riley’s!-doors open at 6pm, and advance tickets are available at Riley’s plus the West Kelowna Petrocan.   A fantastic triple bandstand, and a chance for us to say thank-you to Riley’s new owner Kerry Webster…just one of several visionary individuals that are set to heat up the Okanagan’s Music Scene!!
