The Quantum 'leap'!

RCCL’s newest addition to its fleet is sure to put the WOW back into family cruising! Even the most jaded of teenagers will be unable to remain unmoved by the surreal experiences to be had on this, the ultimate “destination” ship!

Cabins aboard the Quantum of the Seas were designed with families in mind and make Reunion trips a breeze with Family-Connected staterooms which use three different categories to connect and form a layout which offers separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Studio suites are perfect for the single travellers in your group. The ship’s interior staterooms are one of the first to offer the “Virtual Balcony”. A floor to ceiling 80 inch high definition TV screen shows live views from outside the ship! Incredible junior suites, master suites as well as massive loft suites are available as well.

But let's face it, the stateroom is the least of your worries when all the newest of adventures await!

The RipCord by iFly is a sky-dive simulator! Truly for the die-hard adrenaline junky! Reservations (free) can be made online prior to boarding. RipCord iFly Video

The North Star observation tower located at the forward end of the top deck uses a glass-walled capsule at the end of a 135ft crane to haul up to 14 guests at a time up and over the edge of the ship to heights of over 300 feet to partake of the views of the port and the ship! Not for the faint-hearted! Bird's Eye View!!

Sea-Plex is a multi-use venue located on Deck 15. Capable of transforming from a full-size basketball court to dance floor to flying trapeze school to roller skating rink as well as a bumper car ride.

Deck 14 features a large outdoor pool with huge video screen as well as a indoor pool with retractable roof. The H2O Kids Zone water park is also found on this deck with the first ever “wave” pool.

RCCL has made sure that children of all ages have memorable experiences. Their Dreamworks Experience allows the little ones to enjoy character dining, parades and meet and greets with favorite characters from Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and more. Kids and youths of all ages have free programs and events planned throughout the cruise.

Another factor of the Quantum experience is their Broadway at Sea entertainment program. The main Music Hall will feature Mama Mia. The Two70 Lounge will combine Cirque du Soleil with Avatar special effects to produce incredible visual theatre. Discos, lounges and pubs will offer music of every genre to make it possible for anyone of any age to have a fabulous time!

Unique to the RCCL model, Quantum of the Seas features Dynamic Dining in all its 25 dining venues (14 of which are complimentary). Set dining times and tables are a thing of the past! Flexibility to dine when it suits you best and with whom you wish. All restaurants will maintain the same menu and staff so no one will miss out on any special dining opportunity!

Currently Quantum of the Seas is sailing to the Bahamas out of Cape Liberty just outside New York. However she is scheduled to be sent to China in May of 2015. Her sister, the Anthem of the Seas is scheduled to be released in May 2015. She will be cruising the Mediterranean for the spring/summer and then will do a Trans-Atlantic sailing Oct 27th to then settle into Cape Liberty for the winter Caribbean season. Seven day W Med cruises start at $1509CADpp. 12 Day S Caribbean start at $1649CADpp.
