Golf anyone?

Although long a source of frustration for me personally, golf continually proves to be a major travel motivator for many! Do you dream of playing Myrtle Beach, Spyglass or Augusta? Perhaps playing at St. Andrew’s, where it all started is your dream vacation?

Golf Holidays West is the creation of Jeff and Ann Webb. It was created in 1980 as “golfers designing programs for golfers”. Its viability is testament to its level of service and expertise. They have a “hands on” approach to creating specific golf programs for individuals and groups alike to worldwide destinations. Their diligent efforts have created relationships which result in preferred tee times and have granted access to some of the most desired golf courses in the world!

Custom packages can be created for any budget. Golf courses ranging from standard to premium to deluxe or a combination thereof are all easily arranged to your personal preferences. Generally packages include accommodation, car rental, rounds of golf with shared cart and pre-booked tee times. Long-time association with reputable brokers also allow them to create wonderful spectator packages for those of you wanting to attend the Masters, Phoenix Open or similar.

A true speciality are their escorted golf tours. This June they have a wonderful two week program exploring some of the Best of Ireland. They start in Belfast, enjoying a private tour of The Gaol Jail followed by a tour of the Titanic Museum, a must for all! Enjoy golf on Royal County Down, Royal Portursh before heading down the West coast to County Mayo for a night. After visiting the Giants Causeway and Yates Grave, you then continue onto Adare County playing Adare and Ballybunion Old while seeing the Magnificent Cliff of Moyer. On to Killarney, the hub of the west coast with an abundance of restaurants pubs and entertainment. Golf is played at the Links at Wateville while touring the Ring of Kerry, kissing the Blarney Stone and then heading East through Cork and the Links at Old Head. Your final three nights are spent in Dublin. Golfing at Portmarnock Old Course is included as well as time touring the city, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College and more. This 14 night program in 4* accommodations with full breakfast daily, 7 rounds on the best courses in Ireland, entrance fees to several sights, full-time coach and driver guide, escorted by Jeff and Anne Webb costs $5700CADpp based on double.

There are some excellent off-season specials for golfers heading down to Palm Desert or Scottsdale, Arizona in late May/June. It may be hot but teeing off at 7:30 allows you to enjoy great weather and golf at rates that will blow you away!!

4* resorts in Palm Desert and Scottsdale with daily golf on upscale courses. One night with two sharing – golf for two with cart including taxes and fees start at $100pp/night!

For something closer to home, Jeff recommends the Whistler courses. Travel in June and July and several of the resorts are offering golf and room packages for as little as $125pp/night!

Golf Holidays West can work with your travel consultant to create your personal golf holiday dream vacation!
