Canucks' all-time leading scorer

The game was memorable for Henrik Sedin, even if he'd rather forget the result.

Sedin became the Canucks' all-time leading scorer with a two-point night against the Dallas Stars, who came back to beat Vancouver 4-3 on Friday.

Sedin picked up the lone assist on brother Daniel's goal at 3:21 of the second period, and then with the Canucks leading 2-1 he set up Alex Burrows' one-timer on an odd-man rush at 9:56.

"It was very fitting for (Burrows) to score the goal and for Dan to be a part of it," said Henrik Sedin. "They both meant a lot to myself and our line."

That gives him 757 points (171 goals, 586 assists) in 905 games, one more than former Canucks captain Markus Naslund recorded his 882 games before he joined the New York Rangers in 2008-09 for his final season.

After the record-setting point the sellout crowd of 18,910 fans cheered loudly until the next television timeout, when Naslund, as well as other ex-Canucks, congratulated him.

"Everyone knows how much they meant to both me and Daniel our first couple years," said Henrik of fellow Swede Naslund. "To have their support and be mentioned in the same sentence as those guys is special."
