Kelly Scott has completed the first part of her mission at the BC Scotties going on this week in Cloverdale - qualify for the playoffs.

Kelly Scott has advanced to the playoff round at the BC Scotties in Cloverdale

Scott finished round robin play in a three way tie for top spot with Marla Mallett and Patti Knezevic.

All three had identical 7-2 records after winning their final round robin games Friday morning.

After a series of off-ice tie-breakers, Knezevic was placed first, Scott second and Mallett third.

Scott and Knezevic will meet Friday night in the one-two Page Playoff game with the winner advancing straight to Sunday's 2 p.m. final.

Scott beat Knezevic 6-4 Thursday morning

The loser will drop down and play in Saturday's 5:30 p.m. semi-final.

Mallett meantime plays in the Saturday morning quarter-final.

She will play the winner of Friday's tie-breaker between Allison MacInnis and Marilou Richter.

Sunday's winner will advance to the Canadian Scotties Tournament of Hearts next month in Kingston, ON.
