Chiefs steamroll Summerland
Oct 28, 2012 / 11:17 am
Jordan Salahor and Nick Josephs led the way for the Kelowna Chiefs with six points each in an 8-1 KIJHL victory over the Summerland Steam Saturday night.
Brady Mende opened up scoring for the Chiefs in the first period at Rutland Arena, and the team showed no mercy on the Steam the rest of the night.
Salahor's six point effort included his first career Kootenay League hat trick.
Josephs also joined the scoring parade with two goals and four assists, while Scott Renner netted a goal and three assists.
Riley Stewart also helped the Chiefs with a goal and two assists. Tyler O’Donnell made 35 saves to earn the win.
Kelowna has little time to enjoy the victory however, as they are on the road for a game in Osoyoos Sunday against the first place Coyotes.
The Chiefs will return to Rutland Arena on Friday November 2, to face the Princeton Posse.
