NHL cancels games through Nov. 1

The National Hockey League is cancelling another batch of regular-season games.

The league says all games through Nov. 1 have been scrubbed due to the absence of a collective bargaining agreement with the NHL Players' Association.

The players have been locked out for over a month.

The league had already cancelled the first two weeks of the regular season.

The initial cancellation wiped 82 games off the schedule, that number is now up to 135.

Both sides exchanged proposals this week in Toronto but no new talks are scheduled.
