Despite a strong start, the Kelowna Chiefs were unable to hang on, eventually dropping a 4-2 KIJHL decision to Osoyoos at the Rutland Arena Friday night.

The Chiefs dominated the first period and took the early lead when Bryce Koch opened the scoring after being set up by Braeden Hikichi.

Kelowna maintained their momentum into the second, but it all came undone when the Coyotes netted three straight goals.

Brady Mende would pull Kelowna back to within one when he scored in the third. Dylan Jamieson and Marshall Sidwell were credited with the assists.

Osoyoos added a late empty net goal to secure the win.

The Chiefs are now 3-7-0 as they travel to Princeton for a game Saturday night.
