The Kelowna Chiefs  are back in the win column, ending a three game losing streak in the process.

The Chiefs played host to the Penticton Lakers at Rutland Arena on Saturday night and shut out the visitors 4-0.

Rookie goaltender Kenny Fitzgerald earned his first KIJHL career shutout.

Kelowna's Scott Renner led the way for the Chiefs with a pair of goals, while Brendan Jost and Kyle Clerke added singles.

The victory comes on the heels of a 4-2 loss in Revelstoke against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Quade Hamlin and Mitchell Barker scored in a losing cause and Tyler O’Donnell suffered the loss in net.

The 3-3 Chiefs will look to move back over .500 with a win tonight against the visiting Summerland Steam at Rutland Arena.

The Steam are one point back of the Chiefs in the Okanagan Division standings.
