  • Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi has been suspended indefinitely, without pay, after being assessed a Match penalty for deliberate injury of Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore during NHL Game Monday night. A hearing will be conducted Wednesday by the league.
  • Atlantic Division leaders Philadelphia Flyers scooped up another defenceman on Monday, acquiring Vladimir Malakhov from the New York Rangers for prospect Rick Kozak and a second-round pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
  • Montreal Canadiens forward Richard Zednik and Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin have been named NHL Players of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 7.
  • Alberta's Randy Ferbey remained undefeated at the Canadian men's curling championship, thanks to some clutch shooting from David Nedohin in Monday morning's 7-5 win over Ontario's Mike Harris.
  • Forsythe Racing will have three drivers under contract in 2004. Unfortunately, the team which used to sport Player's sponsorship plans to field just two cars.
