Heat still in need of a spark

The UBCO Heat basketball teams are still in search of their first basketball wins at the CIS level.
Friday night, The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades defeated the UBC Okanagan Men 74-52, in Abbotsford.
The Heat’s top scorer was third year guard Yassine Ghomari (Vancouver, BC) with 16 points. Fifth year post Simon Pelland (North Vancouver, BC) led the Heat with 8 total rebounds.
With the win, the Cascades improved their Canada West regular season record to 4-1, while the Heat fall to 0-3 in conference play.
These two teams will meet up again in Abbotsford Saturday night. Tipoff is at 7 p.m
The Lady Heat are also in search of a win after they fell to Fraser Valley 81-53. The Heat are 0-3 in their debut Canada West/CIS season. The Cascades are now 3-2.
The Heat, led by Kelowna's Roslyn Huber's 12 points, trailed by 10 after one and 13 at the half.
They'll need a quicker start on Saturday when face Fraser Valley again, starting at 5 p.m.
