Coyotes on a roll!

The Okanagan College Coyotes baseball club enter the final weekend of the season winners of their last six games and sit on top of the Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC).

This weekend the Coyotes (18-6) will host the University of Calgary Dinos (6-18) in a four game series beginning on Friday night at 6:00pm at Elks Stadium.  Just three weeks ago the Coyotes swept the Dinos in all four games in Calgary, outscoring them 37-19.

The 18 win season has already set a new Coyotes single season record for victories.    Head coach Geoff White has been impressed with how his club has played, “We’ve had a good year so far and obviously we want to end the year on a high going into the championship tournament.  This weekend won’t be easy, if our pitchers don’t throw well we could be in for a long series.”

Right on the heels of the Coyotes is the six-time defending champion Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs (Lethbridge).  They are just one game behind and will host the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades this weekend.

The CCBC championship will be hosted by the TRU Wolfpack in Kamloops May 9-13th.
