Falcons washed out

UPDATE: 1:05 p.m.

It seems only the weatherman can stop the Kelowna Falcons these days.

Tonight's West Coast League baseball game between the Falcons and Victoria Harbourcats has been postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

Both games will be seven innings in duration.

The Falcons enter the three game series with their division rivals riding a five game winning streak.

Chalk up another come-from-behind win for the Kelowna Falcons and a three game sweep of the Walla Walla Sweets.

The Falcons erased a three run deficit with four in the to of the seventh in a 5-4 win over the Sweets.

The win capped a perfect season-opening road trip and earned the Falcons their fifth win in a row.

Trailing 4-1 heading to the seventh, the Falcons put two on with one out, courtesy of a hit batsman and a walk.

A pair of wild pitches and a walk plated one run and left runners at the corners.

Jace McKinney drove in the second run with a single then Lane Lacrone tied it with a sacrifice fly. Brendt Citta doubled home McKinney with the go-ahead, and game-winning run.

Riley Moore tossed six inning of shutout ball over six innings in relief to pick up his first win in his first appearance of the season.

Leif Strom started, and went just one-and-two-thirds, giving up a run on two hits.

The Falcons, now 5-1 on the young season, return home to face division rival Victoria in a three game series beginning Friday night.
