Falcons roll in Kitsap

What a difference a day makes.

Just 24 hours after their bats were silenced the Falcons pounded out 12 hits and 11 runs in an 11-2 thumping of the Kitsap BlueJackets.

The win represents the fifth straight series win for the Falcons who forged a game ahead of Yakima Valley atop the West Coast League's east division.

The Falcons scored in all but three innings, including the first, when Justin Flores picked up his first of three RBI’s in the contest.

The BlueJackets responded with one in the bottom half against Joel Lamont. The Falcons starter settled down, giving up just three hits and one run while striking out seven in six innings of work.

Kelowna added a pair of runs in the second on RBI's from Andre Jackson and JJ Muno, before scoring two more in the fourth.

Flores had a two run single with two outs in the inning, after Jackson and Muno executed a double-steal.

Kelowna blew the game wide open with four runs on just one hit in the fifth.

The Falcons took advantage of three walks, a hit batsman, three balks, an error and a wild pitch.

They closed tacked on singles in the sixth and seventh.

Wade Gulden went 2-4 and Grant Meylan had a pair of hits off the bench as well.

The Falcons head to Longview, WA to open a three game series with the Cowlitz Black Bears Thursday.

Kelowna returns home to host Klameth Falls and Walla Walla in a pair of series beginning Monday.
