Rockets unleash power in PG

The Kelowna Rockets offensive juggernaut rolled through Prince George this weekend.

The Rockets pounded the Cougars 8-2 Saturday giving them 15 during the two game sweep in PG and 21 in three regular season games.

Riley Stadel and Rourke Chartier both scored twice while captain Madison Bowey, playing his first game after returning from the Washington Capitals training camp, chipped in with three assists.

Tyson Baillie and Nick Merkley each had a goal and two assists while Kris Schmidli and Carter Rigby also scored.

Jesse Lees added a pair of assists.

The Rockets won this one on special teams connecting on five of nine opportunities with the man advantage while also scoring twice while shorthanded.

Baillie, off to the best start during his career, shares the league scoring lead with four goals and eight points.

The Rockets return home to host the Vancouver Giants Wednesday before heading back out on the road for games in Everett Friday and Seattle Saturday.
