The accolades keep coming for the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets.
On the heels of becoming the top ranked team in the CHL comes word that forward Tyson Baillie has been named the WHL's player of the month for December.
The 18-year-old Ft. Saskatchewan, AB native had five goals and 15 assists in 12 games during the month of December.
He was also a plus 8 in helping the Rockets post a perfect 12-0-0-0 record during the month.
Baillie picked up at least one point in 10 of the 12 games and had multiple points in six of those.
He had four goals and 12 assists in eight road games including three goals and nine assists during the Rockets six game prairie road swing.
In his third season with the Rockets, Baillie leads the team in scoring with 18 goals and 46 points.
Baillie is showing no signs of slowing down either, having opened up the new month and new year with two goals and two assists in Thursday's 7-2 romp in Portland.
The Rockets, winners of 16 straight on the road and 16 straight overall conclude their four game road trip tonight (Friday) in Vancouver.
They will host the Giants Saturday before heading out on the road again for a four game Alberta swing beginning Wednesday in Edmonton.
