Summer is almost here and it’s time to plan that Summer Recreation schedule for you and your family! Sports Camps for the kids? Evening Sports Leagues for yourself? Want to finally straighten out that Golf slice? Always thought you might like to try Windsurfing or Sailing but haven’t done it yet? How about a little Wake boarding this summer?

The Sports Development area of the City of Kelowna – Sport & Recreation Dept. is offering all of these programs and leagues as well as lots of other fun stuff this summer! Why not get your team together and be a part of one of Canada’s largest Co-ed Slo-Pitch Leagues? Leagues are available every weeknight and Sunday afternoons throughout the summer for all levels of play. Beach Volleyball is another popular sport with lots of leagues running Monday through Thursdays all summer! Sign up for either of these sports even if you are not yet on a team through our Singles Player registration options.

The Sport & Recreation Dept has also partnered with local businesses and associations to bring you Group Golf Lessons & Camps (at the Golf Centre), Wake board / Waterski Camps for Kids (with MWS Watersport Adventures), and Sailing, Windsurfing, and Catamaran Lessons (with the Central Okanagan Sailing Association). These partnerships allow Sport & Rec. to provide top quality programs with some of the highest qualified instructors in the business!

These and many other programs, leagues, tournaments and events are available through the City of Kelowna – Sport & Recreation Dept. this summer and registration begins Saturday, June 2. Leagues and Camps begin the first week in July

For more information and to register for any of these leagues, contact Sport & Rec. at 469-8800 (Parkinson Rec. Centre) or online
