Two people were air lifted to Kelowna General Hospital Sunday, after a serious collision on Highway 97 in Oliver.
According to witnesses, around 5 p.m., a truck with three people inside had pulled to the side of the road for a moment before attempting to merge back onto the highway. The truck apparently pulled out in front of a motorcycle. The bike had no time to stop and collided with the truck.
Both the driver of the motorcycle and his female passenger suffered serious injuries.
Highway 97, between Road 7 and Road 6 was closed for almost three hours while emergency officials attended the scene.
