The fire that tore through a retirement home in Oliver on Monday, is now being deemed suspicious by police.

Sgt. Ken Harrington says he anticipates the public will play a significant role in solving this potentially life threatening occurrence.

"We ask that residents and others who reside in the area contact police should they have observed anything or anyone suspicious at or near the apartment complex of 6061 Kootenay Ave in Oliver last Monday."
