Booze and chainsaws don't mix.
Chase RCMP report they were called to an assault about 1:15 a.m., at a home on Squilax Anglemont Road in Scotch Creek on July 15.
The complainant reported waking to find an acquaintance standing over him with a chainsaw to his neck.
Police spoke with several people at the location and determined they had been drinking throughout the night.
An argument ensued between the two men, but there was insufficient evidence to determine whether the chainsaw had been used to threaten anyone.
"The involved parties worked out their differences the following day, when sober," police said.
No charges were laid.
