Chase RCMP have put the cuffs on a would-be robber.
Cpl. Scott Linklater says at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, a man entered the Bear’s Den Esso near Chase and demanded money from the clerk.
“When the suspect realized there were other employees in the store, he uttered a threat to return to rob the store and left the building. The suspect did not receive any money, and no one was injured during the incident,” said Linklater.
The following day, a 35-year-old man from the Chase area was arrested for the attempted robbery.
He is being held in custody to appear in Kamloops provincial court.
