Vernon's Andrew Ebbett is part of the leadership group for Canada's entry at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
Ebbett is one of four assistant captains named Thursday on Canada's men's hockey team.
He, along with fellow NHL veterans Rene Bourque, Chris Lee and Derek Roy will rotate wearing the A as on-ice alternate captains during the Olympics.
Another former NHLer Chris Kelly has been named captain of the squad.
Ebbett is a veteran of international hockey, winning back to back Spengler Cups the last two years. He also wore Canadian colours at the pre-Olympic Karjala Cup and Sochi Hockey Open tournaments.
He leads SC Bern in scoring and won the NLA scoring title in 2016 and 2017. He played nine seasons in the American Hockey League and National Hockey League.
His NHL career took him to Anaheim, Chicago, Minnesota, Arizona, Pittsburgh and Vancouver. He had 26 goals and 45 assists over 224 NHL games.
