Cotter to coach Koreans

Vernon curling star Jim Cotter is at the Olympics.

Cotter is in Pyeongchang, South Korea, where he will coach the Korean mixed doubles team at the Winter Olympics.

Among Cotter's curling accomplishments are several B.C. titles as well has having competed at the Brier.

Now, Cotter is passing on his experience to the Korean team in the new Olympic event, which begins Thursday.

John Morris and Kaitlyn Lawes are veteran curlers who own Olympic gold medals, and they will be representing the Maple Leaf at the Games.

Morris, 39, won Olympic gold in 2010 playing third for Kevin Martin. Lawes, 29, won gold in 2014 as vice for Jennifer Jones.
