Monday’s City Council meeting will look at approving preloading for the new bridge.
Trucks will haul fill into city park until June in preparation for bridge building. They will enter the park from Leon Avenue, which road users know is a very high-density traffic area.
The fill will also be headed to the south end of the park, which is used for a variety of activities including marathons and various family festivals.
The amount of fill that will be hauled in is expected to equal about 30,000 cubic metres.
