He admits to thinking about it, but Kelowna Mayor Walter Gray is keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to the issue of retirement.
It was eight years ago last week when Gray was elected as mayor.
He's up for re-election next November. It would be his fourth term as mayor of Kelowna is he decides to run again. Gray says the question of whether he'll seek another term has crossed his mind.
"I can't say I haven't given it thought,” says Gray.
Gray and council have met a number of challenges in 2004 including some controversial decisions dealing with proposed developments including Lawson Landing and the Sarsons project. But Gray says controversy comes with the job.
"All of this stuff is very exciting and I love excitement. But having fun and being in good health are the most important things. It's the best job in Kelowna. But will I continue after this term? That's not currently on my mind.”
Gray says he'll make up his mind next summer on running again.
