Poll: Wary About Chicken?

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has ordered the slaughter of an additional 275,000 chickens following an outbreak of the avian flu in the Fraser Valley.

That's on top of the 90,000 chickens that have already been slaughtered.

The disease is not contagious to humans unlike the strain of bird flu that has killed half a dozen people in Asia. However, the outbreak in Canada has led to international bans on Canadian poultry.
