Poll: Forbidding Big Oil Companies

A special committee says the Nova Scotia government should push retail gasoline prices down by forbidding big oil companies from owning gas stations in the province.

Nova Scotia regulated gas prices in the 1980s, but got rid of the restrictions in 1991 because gas companies promised consumers would be better off.
