South Okanagan-West Kootenay MP Richard Cannings says the federal government’s $4.5 billion it spent on the Trans Mountain pipeline would have been better spent on refineries and upgraders in Alberta.
Cannings made the comments Wednesday in the House of Commons during an emergency debate on the oil and gas sector, which has been getting hammered by a drop in commodity prices.
